UL & Experimental Air Race

The first aircraft races in Europe and Slovakia in the UL category up to 475kg and Experimental up to 600kg.
We will start the races at Aerodrome Jasna, which is a new international airport located in the beautiful setting between the foothills of the Low Tatras and the Liptovská Mara reservoir. The opening of the inaugural edition of the races will include the opening of an exhibition of Czech-Slovak aviation. The exhibition is primarily focused on photographic documentation from history to the present and will also include interesting current and period artifacts and other interesting exhibits. The exhibition will be complemented by a unique collection of actual aircraft instrument panels. This is the first exhibition of its kind in Slovakia and the Czech Republic, organized by the Vsetín company AEROTEAM. The exhibition charts the sporting achievements of our acrobatic pilots from the 1930s through the extraordinary successes of our aviators in the 1980s, achieved mainly by the two-time world champion Peter Jirmus and other pilots of that era, up to the winner of the Red Bull Air Race 2018 Martin Šonka and another participant of the cup Petr Kopfstein. These prominent figures will showcase their acrobatic skills at the races.

  • 10:30-11:00 - Autograph session: acrobatic pilot, two-time world champion - Petr Jirmus, cosmonaut Ivan Bella, famous pilots and athletes
  • 11:00-11:15 - Acrobatic performance by the founder of Red Bull Air Race - Peter Besenyei
  • 11:30-12:30 - JASNA AIR RACE speed races around pylons Group I
  • 12:30-13:00 - Acrobatic performance by the Czech Republic champion Martin Židek
  • 13:00-13:45 - Acrobatic performance by two-time world champion - Petr Jirmus
  • 13:45-14:15 - Performance of jet models
  • 14:15-14:30 - Flyover by Airbus A319 of the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic
  • 14:30-15:00 - World War II - aerial dogfight of UL aircraft replicas
  • 15:00-15:30 - Acrobatic performance by the founder of Red Bull Air Race - Peter Besenyei
  • 15:30-16:30 - JASNA AIR RACE speed races around pylons Group II
  • 16:30-17:30 - Demonstration of rescue operations during a simulated aviation incident
  • 17:30-18:00 - Award ceremony
  • 18:00-19:00 - YPS - music group Jano Hangoni
  • 19:00-21:00 - Ploštín Punk - music group
  • 21:00-03:00 - Oldies party by Radio Vlna
